Support your job search in Haugalandet with a mentor
Have you moved to Norway from another country and are looking for a relevant job in Haugalandet? Our mentoring program matches you with a personal mentor who will guide and support you on your path to employment.

About the program
The mentoring program is designed for highly educated immigrants who want to enter the Norwegian job market. The program is free of charge, and is planned to start in May 2026.
Through regular meetings over a period of six months, you and your mentor will work on:
- Your job search strategy
- Your CV and applications
- Understanding the Norwegian labour market
- Building confidence and professional networks
We aim to match you with a mentor from your field of expertise.
The program is delivered in collaboration with Sammen om en jobb – Norway’s largest mentoring program for highly educated immigrants. For more information about Sammen om en jobb and the mentoring program:
What you can expect
- 1–4 meetings per month
- A dedicated mentor to guide and support you
- Practical advice tailored to your goals and background
- Increased knowledge of the Norwegian job market
Even if you do not secure a job during the program, you will be better equipped and closer to reaching your goal.
Who can apply?
To apply, you must:
- Have moved to Norway from another country
- Be located in the Haugalandet area (Haugesund, Karmøy, Tysvær, Sveio, Vindafjord, Etne, Sauda, Bokn or Utsira)
- Have completed higher education (minimum bachelor’s degree)
- Be seeking relevant employment in Norway
- Have Norwegian language skills at minimum level B1, or English at minimum level B2
- Have a residence permit valid for at least 9 months
Please note that there is a limited number of places in the program.
Meeting the criteria does not guarantee that you will be matched with a mentor.
